Internal Audit
The MaiCoin Group has established an internal audit system in accordance with the Regulations Governing Establishment of Internal Control Systems by Public Companies. An independent internal audit unit has been set up to be responsible for the planning and execution of audit activities for the Company and the MaiCoin Group as a whole.
From an organizational perspective, the parent company has appointed a Head of Internal Audit who is responsible for the establishment, implementation, and supervision of the internal audit system. In addition, dedicated internal audit personnel are assigned to key subsidiaries within the Group to carry out audit engagements and oversee relevant control activities. These personnel report functionally to the Head of Internal Audit of the parent company to ensure consistency and completeness of audit practices across the Group.
With respect to audit execution, the MaiCoin Group conducts audit engagements in accordance with the approved annual audit plan. Audit findings and the status of corrective actions are continuously tracked and followed up to facilitate the effective operation of the internal control system.The appointment, dismissal, and performance evaluation of internal audit personnel are reviewed by the Head of Internal Audit and subject to approval by the Chairman. The determination of compensation is conducted in accordance with the Group’s relevant policies and procedures. The appointment and dismissal of the Head of Internal Audit are subject to the approval of the Board of Directors to ensure the independence and objectivity of the internal audit function.The internal audit unit regularly reports the status of audit execution, audit results, and follow-up actions to the Audit Committee. Relevant reports are also provided to Supervisors in accordance with the corporate governance framework to strengthen oversight and enhance corporate governance practices.
